Improving the language

This entry is about the activities that we did during this semester; I’ll talk about too other ways of learning and there is attached a link for a document with my SpeakUp Project.

First I have to say that this semester was really interesting, most of it because of the Baltimore project. I never have done something similar to that and I have to say that was challenging, but at the same time fun and really helped us to improve our English. This is because the fact of that we have to talk with a native speaker help us to improve our reading, our writing, but most important I think, our listening. Also it helped us to improve our oral expression. I think that was better than using only the book, because the readings and recordings are so pre-established and sometimes forced, so it’s better to practice our English in a more “natural” way.

This activity took advantage of the new technologies; this involved us to the project.
The SpeakUp project was interesting too (not as much as the Baltimore), because of the topics that are on the magazine. They are actual topics ad in some way are topics that we see every day, compared with the ones on the book (some are good, but the sometimes are repetitive). And the recordings are great. The fact that they have different accents is so good, that really helps to improve our listening.
Well, this is all for this entry, the other ways that I found useful to improve the language are in the document attached to this entry.
